About the artist: L.S. James (b.1963) is a self-taught artist & writer with a slant toward Judeo-Christian themes. These present works are based on his second upcoming book entitled ‘The Christ of God and Other Eschatological Motifs by L.S. James.
‘ All prose, poetry and paintings by LSJ © 2014.Why this? “While interacting with the online Judeo-Christian community for some recent months, I was quickened in the spirit to the reality of man’s depravity and moral decay. With this stark truth came the dire need to inform the uninformed, the concerned and the careless of what is and what is to come in the twinkling of an eye–the apocalyptic age. There will be blood and some will burn!” And with regards to the festive season, how commerce cringes Christ to even eclipse him with festive paraphernalia ranging from Santa to snowflakes stems from its pagan ancestry incorporated into Christianity. Addressing this prevalent issue are some 20 pieces presented in the genre of Pop Art.
L.S. James is the author-illustrator of Abraham’s Journey to Christ (2005). The work is an illustrated narrative of the evolution of the biblical faith conveyed by GOD’s chosen people threading through biblical history right up to the birth of modern Israel on 14 May 1948. The theme is therefore fairly simple: Creation, Fall, Redemption, Restoration. This historical approach thus registers GOD as Creator & orchestrator since the Beginning, the Present & the Future. The writing is accompanied by 143 original oil paintings scanned into print (ISBN 9813056835 Hardcover, 224pp @ $50.00). The forward was penned by Rev. Alfred Ang, Senior Pastor of Emmanuel Assembly of God and another by Rev Dr Quek Swee Hwa, Dean of Biblical Graduate School of Theology (BGST) and Senior Pastor of Zion Bible-Presbyterian Church (Bishan).
